Jay Nickse

 Overview:

Mr. Nickse has served as Board Chair of Long Hill for the past eight years, after chairing the board for its parent company, UMH, Inc. Mr. Nickse is a CPA from PWC and enjoyed a career of leadership in a family office, overseeing investing activities of an underlying trust value of $150 million. Mr. Nickse was responsible for evaluating foreign and domestic investing opportunities and guides Long Hill in serving its investor clientele. As a family member of those who have been served by UMH, Inc., Mr. Nickse is acutely aware of the value of quality service in post-acute settings.

Experience:

Mr. Nickse has served the senior care industry for over 10 years. He brings over 35 years of varied business experience from major aerospace and defense concerns and government contracting specialties to high tech start-ups to investment management and risk assessment. He has proven expertise in driving productivity and efficiency through evaluation of organizational structure, financial management and implementation of process improvement practices.  Examples of his leadership and management experience include:

Management/Operation Services – Board level strategic planning, management oversight and operational critical thinking.

  • Receivership Services – Responsible for project management and overall direction as well as legal and risk management and insurance matters.
  • Transactional Services – Overall coordination of various transactions including structure and financing to closing.
